He had a stoke some time later and could not longer drive a stick shift car so it sat in his Phoenix, AZ garage until his daughter sold the car to its second and previous owner in 1996.Over the next few years the second owner restored the car as required, in the year 2000 the car was repainted in its original Daytona Yellow factory color and a new convertible top was installed. Disc brakes and new leaf springs were added in 2002. In 2003 the original Munci 4 speed was replaced with an identical rebuilt. In 2005 the carpets and door panes were replaced.
