About

West Coast Classics are proud to present a beautifully kept older restored example of this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro 2 Door Convertible with a rebuilt reportedly original block 350 V8 engine matched to a rebuilt 4 speed Muncie manual transmission in a striking combination of its original Daytona Yellow factory color code 76 paint with Black SS sports stripes and matched to a very striking White interior with SS badging, hood amp steering wheel, power disc brakes amp Rally wheels with new BF Goodrich radial tiresThe history of the car reported to us by its owner, a local Los Angeles celebrity, is that the original owner bought the car in February of 1969. He had a stoke some time later and could not longer drive a stick shift car so it sat in his Phoenix, AZ garage until his daughter sold the car to its second and previous owner in 1996.Over the next few years the second owner restored the car as required, in the year 2000 the car was repainted in its original Daytona Yellow factory color and a new convertible top was installed. Disc brakes and new leaf springs were added in 2002. In 2003 the original Munci 4 speed was replaced with an identical rebuilt. In 2005 the carpets and door panes were replaced. In 2021 the original block was rebuilt to manufacturer specs and also installed were an upgraded aluminum intake manifold, Edelbrock carburetor, electronic ignition and Hooker headers.nbspProfessional, very nice older restoration as required now showing some aging and imperfections but still a very fine presentation of this iconic Super Sport Camaro.Correct Chevrolet 350cid V-8 300hp,4-speed Muncie Transmission was originally a 4 speedOriginal 12-bolt Posi-traction rear differential.Original factory Air Conditioned car.Original factory Daytona Yellow color paint with Black Super Sport stripes, waxed amp detailed.Great looking bucket seats interior with 4 speed Hurst shifter.Factory gauges including 120mph speedo and added tachometer.Sports woodgrain steering wheel.Optional fast-ratio power steering system.Optional Power Disc Brakes all around.15 Rally wheels w BFG Radial TAs.Great sounding dual exhaust w Headers. All seat belts are functional. All windows are functional. All lights are functional.Headliner amp Convertible Soft Top is perfect.Doors close tight and crisp. The car has all its original solid and rust free floor boards and and the condition of the interior, trim and glass is all excellent. This rebuilt engine is extremely strong and responsive with excellent oil pressure and no noticeable oil leaks and which sounds absolutely magnificent, the rebuilt 4 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly through the gears and the engine temperature always remains cool. The massive success that was Fords Mustang did not go unnoticed by the folks over at Chevrolet. Looking to capture a share of the burgeoning pony car market, Chevrolets answer to the Mustang was the Camaro. Making its debut in September of 1966 the Camaro, like the Mustang, was available in a wide array of options and body styles. Introduced two years after the Mustang, Chevrolet realized that to pose a serious threat, merely introducing the Camaro would not be enough - a car capable of beating the Mustang at the racetrack was needed if the Camaro was to stand a chance against the widely popular Mustang and thus the Z28 was born. This is one very fine daily driving example of an increasingly collectible and desirable 1969 Chevrolet Camaro 350 V8 4 spd Convertible these are very rare American muscle cars and will always be internationally respected and desired by any classic American muscle car or Camaro enthusiastnbsp This is therefore one daily head-turning condition example of an all time classic America icon
