About

1988 Camaro IROC-Z convertible. 65k miles. It is a G92 code, 5 speed, with the 220hp TUNED PORT INJECTION 305 engine. It has posi, 3.45 gears, and 4 wheel disc brakes. This is a SUPER HARD car to find A G92, 5 speed IROC-Z is the most desirable they built. Other than 1LE, and those are also G92 cars In 1989 and 1990, the G92, 5 speed was only available in a hard top. Not even offered in a t-top car 1987 and 1988 are the only years this package was available in a convertible. This is the best performing IROC convertible built. The package also comes with a bigger cam, 5,500 rpm redline tach, and 145mph speedometer. Almost all 5 speed IROC-Z convertibles have the 3.08 rear end, drum rear brakes, 115 mph speedometer, etc. The G92 code is the performance axle package, which is what makes this car super rare, way quicker, and way more desirable. The car is absolutely awesome. It is loaded with literally every available option. Grey leather interior, power drivers seat, power drivers side mirror, power antenna, power windows, locks, power trunk pull down, etc. It has an aftermarket CD stereo installed, but I also have the factory cassette player for the car as well. It has the factory 16 aluminum wheels that have been restored to a brand new finish, and are wrapped in like new BF Goodrich Sport comp-2 tires. The interior is in awesome condition, the paint is gorgeous, and the convertible top is also flawless. The engine compartment and trunk area are also super clean. The clutch was replaced around 1,500 miles ago. There are no issues with the car. Everything works as it should, other than the tach reads high. The air conditioning blows ice cold air. Flowmaster cat back exhaust. Its just a super legit car and I get compliments on it all the time. Asking $16,500 obo. Title in hand. 5one5-8nine0-7eight3sixTrades considered I have another third gen convertible, so looking for a t-top or hard top car, or just about anything cool, fast, etcThe following is copied from an ad from another G92, 5 speed IROC-Z that was for sale a few years ago. This explains the rarity...How many Iroc 5 speed 88 cars were made Well no clue. Wish I knew and possibly one day that data will be compiled on these rare options but I will throw some percentage logic based on what we do know as fact There are 96275 total Camaros made for 88 nothing rare about an 88 camaroThere are 3761 Iroc Convertibles for 88 getting pretty rare hereThere are 5252 G92 cars for 88 pretty rare here tooConsidering the first number is including the Iroc convertibles we can say that 5.46 of all CamaroIrocs got the G92 package for 88.... However the G92 is also an optional 3.23 gear on the automatics and is included in that 5252 total count. Sadly we dont know G92 stick vs G92 auto on these cars... so this math I will use is going to say there are no G92 automatics made... and there were way more of those than 5 speed in reality..... So 5.46 of 3761 Iroc Convertibles adds up to 205 cars using this logic..... but because I tossed out all possible G92 automatic cars, I really am guessing reality is more like 50 or less 88 G92 Iroc 5 speed convertibles..... however that is just a guess and possibly one day it will be figured out.... but either way, its way rare..... NO SPAM. I dont need help selling. Clean carfax on hand. Clean title in hand.
