Truck most likely has a 6.2 liter Detroit diesel Similar to the military CUCTV and HMMVW with some HP differences from what I have found, although I have seen in later years the 6.5 diesel, but for this year likely the 6.2. Starts, runs and drives well.This truck was modified to be a dump truck, originally was a regular bed truck. Electric over hydraulic lift, custom built dump bed. Dump bed in excellent shape. Frame appears to be in really good shape which is rare for this year of truck. Runs well. Engine and transmission seem solid. Comes with an additional 5.7 liter ods deisel with mototor mounts and what appears to be a turbo 350 transmission, and other parts for spares.Besides the dump bed, if someone has interest, time, and abilities, these Detroit diesels have a bit of following, especially as they are pre-electronics, old school diesel motors.
