About

Dont really want to sell this but I am asked all the time if its for sale and have my eye on another vehicle at the moment. This is located in RENO , NVCross posting to a few different cities as I figure the buyer may not be local. Happy to meet at RenoTahoe airport, or possibly even drive to deliver it.Price $29,500 Basically just what it is worth to me with all of the time and money into it and the fact that I know I wont be able to just go out and by another one in this condition if I wanted to.1988 4runner SR5, V6 manual trans170k original miles, Clean carfax, Currently registered to me with clean title in hand.Has been a Northern Nevada car its whole life, I bought it from the original owners son a little over a year ago and it has been undergoing restoration since then.Car is running and driving 100 perfect, and has been for the last year I have owned it, I have used it as a daily driver and it is definitely one of the funnest cars I have owned.Everything on this truck is dialed in, heat ac, 4wd, etc etc...It was a PERFECT 4runner to bring back to life, ALL original The top had never been removed, from what I was told no one had ever sat in the back seats, no rust on the body, all panels exterior and interior were very nice, interior is pretty immaculate etc etc.. to find a 1st generation 4runner in that condition is not easy.I looked high and low for a good condition 1st gen 4runner with a manual trans and v6 specifically with the intention to swap a supercharged 3.4l into it if you are unaware these are the motors used in 3rd gen 4runners and 1st gen tacomas, and are a direct replacement for the current 3.0l, with some minor modifications. I ended up liking this 3.0l so much that I have lost interest in swapping a 3.4l into it.This was a very complete 88 SR5, I have all of the chrome trim I dont care for the chrome trim look, all the interior panels that come off with top, the fairly rare sunroof cover in great condition, The orginal mud flaps, I do have the original floormats, some of you may notice the antenna is missing in pictures I do have it in a bag but It may need to be replaced I can put an antenna on from my other 1st gen 4runner for the buyer. Also people that know these will notice the rear rock gaurds are missing I have since put those back on. Anything else of concern please feel fee to ask and I probably have it.Prior to me owning it, it had clearly been maintained very well, this is pretty easy to see on these old toyotas. The head gasket finally let go as all of these 3.0ls do apparently shortly before me acquiring it, and that entire service was performed at that time. I do not have paperwork on it, but happy to have independent inspections done to verify.New paint, in its factory color, with OEM decals applied by a professional local vinyl shop.New Bilstein suspensionOriginal Wheels were powdercoated, and new Falken wildpeaks installedBrand new Softopper top... I have original top of course to be included, It has not been refinished but is in good shape other than the fading paint. I may consider refinishing this for the buyer if needed. The softopper is of course capable for year round use and looks way better in my opinion.Fully serviced with all new fluids. This 4runner is seriously dialed in and ready for whatever you want to do with itIm happy to send pictures or video of anything anyone would like to seeThe one thing that I have been meaning to adress is a small 1 tear in the driver seat cushion on the left bolster. Again this is in better condition that probably 90 of these seats, as they all eventually tear here from driver sliding in and out. It hasnt annoyed me enough yet to get it in to an upholstery shop, or look for a replacement cover. you can use the passenger seat upholstery on this side which is always in better conditionEdit has been requested to get pictures with softopper all closed up which I totally overlooked. I have not even had it fully installed rear window is still in the box but I will do so asap and get some picturesI also realized I have not taken any udercarriage photos, It is very nice, again NV vehicle its whole life, will get some of these up soon as well.TAGS land cruiser fj40 fj55 fj60 fj62 tacoma pickup jeep bronco f150 f250 f350 ranger colorado
