Please read this carefully- this is a 1995 GMC 1500 pick up truck, 2 wheel drive, presumed to be a 305V8 with 5 Speed transmission. I have a clear title in my name in hand. I will list the large assortment of brand new parts that I have invested into the truck and also the truck comes with a new clutch and slave clutch included for free. The truck runs engine makes no noises and drives but needs a new transmission. It was sold to me with the caution it was a lie that it needed a slave clutch. It needs a whole transmission- manual 5 speed.I invested quite a bit of money into this truck starting to build it back into a decent exle over time, well over 900 USD in part and labor it not closer to 1,000 USD. It was after a whole lot of new parts listed below were installed that two things happened- truck went into a shop for the slave clutch work and I was told the transmission is bad and secondly my left hip has been bad but has worsened a lot in the last six months- I cant drive manual any more. Right now the tach works but not the speedo doesnt work and the odometer that is stopped at 141K- it needs a sending unit to correct that. The gas gauge also does not work- would need a new sending unit to work again. I have kept this truck with just 87 octane no ethanol fuel in it since I have owned it and used it mostly as a yard work truck. I have driven it at speeds to 70mph back when the transmission was in better shape- it drives nicely.NEW PARTS installed on truck within the last 1,000 miles 1 Belts 2 Battery- 12020 3 Air filter 4 Distributor cap, rotor, wires, spark plugs 5 brand new Hankook tires- not even 1K miles on them 6 new tailights 7 new brake light module 8 New radiator fluid thermostat. INCLUDED and NOT installed not shown in photos but brand new in boxes- new clutch and new slave clutch AND enough 80-90 grease to fill the new transmission.As you can see, the body on this truck is pretty straight. The truck has never been wrecked. There are some scratches and dings on some panels of the truck. I have taken close up photos of the worst areas and they are really not bad. There is some evidence of bondo or repair at the back cab corners. Other than that theres really no rust. The driver side door handle is disconnected and you have to reach outside the truck to open the door. The back window needs a new rubber seal- it can leak sweat. The tailgate latch release is operational but not by the handle- you have to pinch the two pieces of metal together to release the gate. The reverse lights do not work, not sure what is wrong, I think its another sending unit on the back of the transmission that makes them work.Right now the transmission makes a pretty bad racket when you try to use it- this truck is not suitable for over the road driving- I dont think youd get far. The exhaust system is simple- a cherry bomb muffler- the pipe could use extending or a 90 degree to go out the side. There is no catalytic converter on the truck, someone took it off long ago- this one is probably not any good for emissions testing states unless you want to invest in a cat. I have NOT washed or waxed this truck before taking photos of it. Much of the paint would take a waxing but probably all of it would be best off with a compounding and waxing of some sort. The roof shows paint sun rash type wear that may show up some in the photos. The paint should really be worked in order to keep it on the truck and then kept protected. $1400 cash, no trades- thanks.
