About

NOTE I will not respond to inquiries is it still for sale- if the truck is still posted on CL, its still for sale. For sale for cash, no trades. Asking price or BRO. Not interested in low balls. Please read this carefully- this is a 1995 GMC 1500 pick up truck, 2 wheel drive, presumed to be a 305V8 with 5 Speed transmission. I will list the large assortment of brand new parts that I have invested into the truck and also the truck comes with a new clutch and slave clutch included for free. The truck starts easily and runs well and does drive very smoothly for a truck of its age- I have had this one up to 70mph on the open road before and it was very smooth. The body is far above average for the year. Paint above average but starting to fade clear coat wear off. Although truck RUNS and DRIVES well, it is not particularly roadworthy due to needing a rebuilt re-man transmission. It was sold to be needing a new transmission. I can drive it around my yard and generally dont go farther than up the road and back in it. The transmission is NV 35 5 speed. You can get one at OReillys. I have invested no small amount in this truck to bring it forward into reliable condition from when I bought it and it needed lots of things. I decided to NOT finish it off with a rebuilt transmission because despite me really enjoying driving a 5 speed my left hip is bad and I just found out its now almost all bone on bone. That explains the new pain I had when shifting this truck. I have decided to not invest in a new transmission because it wouldnt be for me- I will not be able to drive a 5 speed for some time yet. Right now the transmission makes a lot of noise when the clutch is let out whether in drive or in no gear at all. The transmission was ruined before I bought the vehicle. Along with the new transmission, you should purchase a speedometer sending unit. Right now the tach works but not the speedo or odometer that is stopped at 141K. The gas gauge also does not work- would need a new sending unit to work again. I have kept this truck with just 87 octane no ethanol fuel in it since I have owned it and used it mostly as a low mile yard work truck.NEW PARTS installed on truck within the last 1,000 miles- Belts- Battery- January 2020- Air filter- Distrib cap, rotor, wires- NEW Hankook tires- not even 1,000 miles on them- NEW tail lights last month- NEW brake light module last month- NEW radiator fluid last month- NEW thermostat last month- spark plugsINCLUDED and NOT installed- new clutch- new slave clutchAs you can see, the body on this truck is pretty straight. The truck has never been wrecked. There are some scratches and dings on some panels of the truck. I have taken close up photos of the worst areas and they are really not bad. There is some evidence of bondo or repair at the back cab corners. Other than that theres really no rust. The driver side door handle is disconnected and you have to reach outside the truck to open the door. The back window needs a new rubber seal- it can leak sweat. The tailgate latch release is operational but not by the handle- you have to pinch the two pieces of metal together to release the gate. The reverse lights do not work, not sure what is wrong, I think its another sending unit on the back of the transmission that makes them work or not.You are welcome to come and see the truck. Its not going to be driven over the road by anyone but me for test drives due to condition of the transmission- just rest assured that you need a rebuilt transmission. I was told the truck needed a clutch when I purchased it, so I have those brand new parts clutch and slave clutch already and they COME WITH THE TRUCK- brand new from Advanced Auto. The best way to transport this from here to your home would be to flatbed the truck or tow dolly. You will not get it to drive far on the open road with the bad transmission. Not looking for any trades, just cash.I have NOT washed or waxed this truck before taking photos of it. This is how it looks. Much of the paint would take a waxing but probably all of it would be best off with a compounding and waxing of some sort. The roof shows paint rash type wear that may show up some in the photos. The paint should really be worked in order to keep it on the truck
