1998 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0 4x4 247k miles loud, cool old pickup truck, that Ill miss having..Im the third or 4th owner and Ive had it for 3 going on 4 years. Its been to Florida, Arkansas, West Virginia, and everywhere in between- and thats with meIve taken care of it as it has me.All lights and horn work new wiper blades- passes inspection runs and drives.4x4 works with manual locking hubs I had put on. I havent had to use it many times but it worked fine each time Ive used it. Only once did I have to retry three or four times to get switch to engage non uncommon for this year ranger. It ended up working. Windows work. Cooper tires all around except on spare which it has with around 50tread on coopers. I bought these tires three years ago and have driven it plenty as you can tell. Theyll last a while. Ive not had any big problems out of this truck- usual stuff when like sensors, alternator, battery, brakes- which I have receipts for. Ive ran full synthetic in it since Ive bought it. It currently needs an oil change tune up done this year but Im leaving it, to show that the head gasket is ok. Comes with filter and oil for change. When its cold wait for it to warm up before driving or 1st gear will lag for a second. This also has done this since Ive owned it. Once its warmed up it doesnt happen. Hasnt been a problem for me. Rear dif whines for the record it has always whined for me, just like the power steering pump, for 3years a little loud because it got low on a drive home from the mountains recently for work due to seal leaking. It was replaced and I have the receipt. Comes with cer shell and ladder rack and led fog lights that work with high beams. One has loose connection and will flicker if bumpy road. Electrical isnt my thing or Id fix it.Interior isnt the best or worst 22 year old pickup truck. Drivers seat isnt great but it comes with the cushions that I use if you want them. All 4 seats and 5 seatbelts work. Comes with original jack but I would use another one.
