RARE2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ Overland 4x4Newly Rebuilt 4.7 V8 High Output4 new tiresNew batteryNew brake pads and rotorsVery clean interiorNo rust on the bodyFactory rock slidersFactory limited slip diffs front and rearACHeat works greatRadio works greatNew Power Steering pumpNew cooling fan This Jeep is in remarkably good shape considering its age and mileage. It drives great and rides smooth and quiet. The motor now runs nice and strong. The transmission shifts smoothly and quietly. Even with 160,000 miles on the Jeep, if you know these transmissions then you know that it will likely outlast the Jeep as a whole. The brakes are firm and quiet. The interior is completely clean and the only place that shows any signs of wear is around the drivers seat. The overland is rare and the highest trim level that Jeep offered on the WJ Grand Cherokee so it has all the options, and everything still works. I buy, fix, and resell cars as a hobbyside hustle. I bought this Jeep from its second owner outside of Chicago. When I purchased the Jeep, the motor was torn apart by the dealer due to a cracked valve seat that fell into cylinder 2 the front cylinder on the passenger side. This not only did damage to the piston and head, but also sent pieces of the crushed valve seat up into the intake manifold that then worked their way into cylinder 1 front cylinder on the driver side causing similar damage. Fortunately, the pieces had lodged themselves into the softer aluminum of the pistons and heads, which saved both cylinder walls from being scored or scratched. Unfortunately, this meant that the two pistons and both heads needed to be replaced. Since the motor was mostly taken apart, I figured it would be better to pull it out of the jeep and completely go through it and rebuild it. The engine now has all new tri-metal bearings, new piston rings, new oil pickup tube, new timing set gears, chains, chain guides, tensioners and new gaskets all around. The heads have been replaced with used ones, but both have been gone through, cleaned up, and have had new valve seals put in. There are a couple bad spots on the body. I had to do some rust repair on a couple spots. On the front passenger quarter panel, there is a paint line from where the new paint didnt quite match the old paint perfectly. There was pretty pitted rust below the rear driver side door. I was able to remove the rust but couldnt get the surface perfectly smooth. They arent very noticeable at all but both of these areas are pictured. Also, the windshield has cracked from the cold this winter. WJ Grand Cherokees are common enough that the windshield can be easily and readily replaced relatively cheap. You may notice in the pictures that there arent windshield wipers on the arms. The wipers were shot and both front and rear wipers have all been replaced with new wipers. I just hadnt gotten them on yet while taking the pictures.Willing to negotiate a bit if you have cash.
