About

Up for sale is a 2005 Lexus GX470. The car currently shows about 135,500 miles and carries a clean title and clean Carfax. This car has spent its entire life in New Mexico and is completely rust free, and is in great shape with extensive, recent service records from Santa Fes Lexus dealer. It is a highly desirable 2005 modelthe most powerful motor of any model year, detuned for the 06-08 model yearswith no KDSS system and factory navigation. I purchased this car in September after searching for months for a clean, rust-free, low mileage 05-08 GX. I am the cars fourth owner. Since purchased, I have put over $4,000 in mechanical work into the car to prepare it for an overland-style build. As life often goes, Ive had a change of heart and stopped just short of modifications. As it sits, the car is bone stock with the exception of Middle Eastern spec OEM Prado window trim. Given the relative rarity of 2005 non-KDSS models, no rust, and maintenance history, I am looking for $18,000. Mechanical The mechanical condition of this car is excellent, with thousands in recent, documented investment. Highlights from the past 8 months of my ownership include -Timing belt -Water pump -CV boots -Coolant service -Spark plug fuel system service -Brake rotor resurfacing Its transfer case functions as it should and is exercised once per month as per the manufacturers recommendation. The tires show good tread. The car is in road trip ready condition as it sits. Exterior This car is finished in Blue Meridian Pearl, a paint option only available for the 2003-5 model years thus, this is the only year a GX470 was offered in this colorway with the more powerful VVT-i motor. The paint of this car is quite presentable overall, although it shows some blemishes from its time in the desert sun and on New Mexicos dirt roads. There is no paint fading I did note minor clear coat fading on the spoiler. Beyond a couple of parking lot dings, there is a small dent on the rear door that is photographed and a few trail scratches. The headlights are hazy and could be restored. The running boards are deleted and are not sold with the truck. As mentioned, the most attractive feature of this car is the cleanliness of the underside. As you likely know if youre looking at an older Land CruiserLexus full-sized SUV, the only thing that can effect the ability of these cars running forever is rust. This is hands-down the cleanest underside of a Toyota-built truck Ive ever seen, and I have received the same feedback from fellow enthusiasts. Interior The interior of this car is clean. The drivers side bolster is showing minor signs of age the passenger and rear seats look great. The third row seats are not included unless its a deal breaker for the buyer. There is no notable damage on any carpet, door cards, or headliner. The tire pressure light comes on intermittently due to a faulty sensor in one of the wheels, which is noted in writing from Lexus. The entire car has model-specific Weathertech mats, including the rear hatch. The factory tool kit is in place. It is missing one of the cover panels for the third row, and the cargo net is stretched out as pictured.
